PARIS TRAVEL DIARY: DAY ONE

Bonjour! I'm in Paris! No matter how many times I say that I'm in Paris, I still can't believe that I'm in Paris. I'm going to be in Paris for about a month with my study abroad program. I created a new serious on my YouTube called my travel diary for you guys, so you should go check it down below. I'm going to walk you through all my days here with you and take you with me on my study abroad journey.

Departure and Arrival:
We departed from the Chicago's O'Hare Airport on December 26th and landed in Paris 8 hours later on December 27th. When we got off the plane the sun was just rising, so we had a full day ahead. I didn't get much sleep on the plane ride because it's really hard for me to fall asleep on a plane, so I watched three movies. The first, starring one of my favorite actors Lee Minho, called Bounty Hunter, the second was an Korean film titled Beauty Inside (which I recommend becasue it has a very interesting plot line) and the last movie I watched was Suicide Squad. I love watching movies!

When we arrived to Paris, we went through all the necessary security stops and then had a big coach bus waiting for us to take us to our apartments. Where we stay in Paris is located in the fifth arrondissement, which was about an hour and a half from the airport because of traffic. They took us to our apartments and Duyen and I unpacked everything in our luggage and I took a very needed lap. We had orientation around 5:00pm, where Peter our director gave us all the information we could possibly need to survive in Paris. We then received our transportation cards and Peter took us on our first Metro ride and bus ride. It was my very first time taking a Metro ever and it was an interesting experience.

When taking the Metro I learn that you got to be fast becasue the transfers of getting on and off are really fast and there are multiple Metros on multiple floor levels. It's gets pretty hectic and crowded, so you need to be careful of your surroundings, especially if you don't want to get pick-pocketed. I try not to be so paranoid of getting pick-pockted but your reminded so much that it's always on your mind, so getting on the Metro I get hyper sensitive to everyone around me and it kind of freaks me out a little on the inside. But in reality just have a buddy system and watch out for the other person.

After our little trip around the city using the public transportation, we went to a nearby restaurant to share a welcome dinner together. We had a cup of wine, delicious salad, the best beef stew ever, and a cup of French chocolate mousse. We ended the night a little early at nine to prepare for the next adventure where we...
